"While Bestiario refers to a compendium or collection of mythological or imaginary beings, normally with a symbolic language sense, Originario pretends to be a collection of objects that connect with the idea of beginning: origin, root, source, soul, seed… Some of the pieces are independent concepts that contain the beginning in which they are based, in which they develop and which they also protect. Other times they study the idea of place, space or landscape, dealing with concepts as the centre of the beginning, that afterwards spreads, develops and grows.” These are some of the keys that Santiago González offers us to present his most recent work, that under the title Originario he exhibits at Estudio Artizar. A powerful germinating nature is now the main character of his fascinating work.
